From a shopfront promotion to an event backdrop or a classroom display, a well-printed poster does a lot of work. We print posters in-house at Marrickville in sizes from A3 up to A0, with same-day options when you are up against a deadline.
Common poster sizes are A3, A2, A1 and A0, plus the popular 24 x 36 inch (approx. 610 x 914mm) and custom sizes cut to your space. Bigger is bolder, but choose a size that suits where the poster will hang and how close people will be.
Choose a gloss stock to make photos and colours pop, a matt stock to cut glare (better under bright lights and for text-heavy posters), or a satin finish for the best of both. Add lamination to protect posters that will be handled or displayed for a while.
Large prints show every flaw, so resolution matters. Supply artwork at the finished size (or a clean vector) with images around 150 to 300dpi at print size, and use CMYK so the colours print as you expect. If you have only a screen-resolution image, tell us and we will let you know how big we can go before it softens.
Screens glow with RGB light while print uses CMYK ink, so a colour can look slightly different on paper than on your monitor. We work in CMYK and can check your file for free so there are no surprises.

Yes, provided the photo is high enough resolution for the size. A phone photo can print surprisingly large, but there is a limit before it softens - send it to us and we will advise the biggest sharp size.
